The last 7 months have been filled with an increasingly interesting topic of research:Black metal education. Thomas von Wachenfeldt and myself have been interviewing young black metal musicians about how they have learnt to play, how they consider their musicianship, what Black metal is to them and so forth. This has so far resulted in two publications. The first was a presentation at the Nordic Network Conference for Music Education in Finland in April 2015. From this came an invitation to write in the forthcoming book on Music Education and Religion. This chapter has been submitted and accepted and should be printed spring 2016 I think.
Now we are working on making a traditional article also. These are fun/evil times!
